The U.S. Census Bureau recently announced several changes to the industry classification (NAICS) codes that will be used in the 2012 Economic Census. Manufacturing facilities that previously have been classified as “Digital Printing” will now be combined into the larger “Other Commercial Printing (except Screen and Books)” category. Also, “Display Advertising” will be renamed to “Outdoor Advertising.” However, facilities classified under “Sign Manufacturing” will be unchanged in the 2012 Economic Census.
