National sign code update

The final rule adopting the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Devices was recently published in the Federal Register. Signs on the primary and interstate highways are subject to the MUTCD, which is effectively a national sign code. Governments are required to adopt the new MUTCD standards within two years.
